Requirements for Joining AFK :

1) Must Be a minimum of 18yrs Old:
The games the clan tends to play for the most part are rated for Mature Adults. The subject matter in some of the topics discussed on the forums may have information not appropriate for younger gamers.
(Anyone who is currently in the clan and is younger than the specified age will be grandfathered in and allowed to remain in the clan. Special admittance may be granted for younger players upon sponsorship by clan members and final approval by the Clan Leader.)

2) Need a Mic:
MICS ARE REQUIRED!!!

3) Party with Clan 1st:
Before you can join the clan you will need to party with the leaders online to ensure that we will mutually be a good fit for each other.

4) Follow Directions from Squad Leaders:We want players that want to work together as a team to be a part of the clan. When playing with the clan follow directions from Squad leaders and stick together (Don't go off on your own)

5) No Clan Hoppers:
We do not want clan hoppers; If you are not sure about joining AFK do not join, just party with us until you are sure you want to be part of this clan. (I suggest you do this for any clan you are interested in. It reflects poorly on you if you jump from clan to clan).

6) Create a User Account in Website:
You must create an user account on AFK website with the display name the same as your in-game name so others in the clan can easily identify you. Also post under the "I want to Join AFK in (PS3/Xbox Game)" thread so that the leaders will know to be on the lookout for you. This will also help the website admins identify your AFK account and approve your user rights based on the AFK game Leader's approval. Failure to Post Under the I want to Join Thread(s) will result in your account being deleted.

7) Check website regularly:
Once in the clan it is your responsibility to check the website to become familiar and up to date with clan events and activities. Failure to check the website for more than 60 days will result in automatic deletion from the clan. All GB activity and sign-ups will be posted inside AFK site. If you are on one of our GB squads and you fail to login and sign-up you will not play in the GB.

8) No Glitching:
AFK does not want anyone glitching especially when in a ranked game or a GameBattle as this my cause us to lose and damage the clans reputation.

9) Good Sportsmanship:
AFK members will conduct themselves with good sportsmanship when playing others. We will not disrespect another clan unless provoked and still we will show restrain when doing so.

10) Wants to Have FUN!!!
Most Important Rule of ALL:
We are primarily a social clan that likes to joke around and have a good time while achieving our goal to win. We are less of a clan and more of a family in some aspects.
So remember if you are not Having Fun while playing than you must not be a true AFK Member.

Please be aware that our Requirements for some games will be slightly stricter than in others.

As always please discuss any concerns with the game leader/co-leader.

AFK will no Longer Recruit any players who are minors (under the Age of 18 years). This is an Adult Clan, No Exceptions will be made from here on out for any new recruits.

These rules are the basic guidelines for the behaviour of every single clan member. These are subject to review by the management team as they see fit.

These rules of conduct are designed to ensure that all members of the clan gain the best gaming and social experience possible. The ROC is designed to be simple and for guidance purposes. There are no rule junkies in [AFK]_clan that want to impose their will over the members, and the ROC is designed to be self-managed. Any queries concerning the ROC should be addressed to a member of the clan admin staff (ie, Clan Board [CBs], Clan Leader).

All new members are to enter into a 2 week trial period whereby they can be assessed to determine suitability for membership and compatibility with existing members. During this time any new members who are found not to be the [AFK] type of person, will be asked to leave, and all private permissions removed. This is considered a last resort, and the person will be consulted prior to removal to attempt to resolve the problem. At the conclusion of the trial period all new members found to be acceptable will automatically receive full membership.

Disciplinary measures are intended to be used only in extreme cases where arbitration has failed. The following methods of discipline will be used as appropriate, and will be imposed by either the Command staff of a particular game, or by the Clan Admin if specific to the Clan as a whole. In the event that a particular game does not have a Command staff then the decision will fall to the Clan Admin. Measures available.
a) Request an apology from the offending member.
b) An official warning will be given. If three of these are given within the period of 1 week, the member will be removed from the clan with all access rights and privileges cancelled and will be removed from all clan involvement in all games.
c) If 4 official warnings are given within a reasonably period then the procedure outlined in (b). will come into effect. The term /reasonable period/ shall be determined by Command staff or clan admin. A guide of one month is given but this is only a guide, and may be changed at the descretion of the relevent controling body within the clan.
/Banning/ is considered a last resort and other players /Command staff/ Clan Admin will attempt to resolve the matter before it goes this far. It is however is the responsibility of the offending member to ensure that it need not go further. [AFK] reserves the right to remove members who are deemed not to be suitable to the clan.

Clan Admin – This is a collection of the most senior members of the Clan and members who have proven theirselves worthy of the position. In most cases the Clan admin will not interfere in the running and participation of your gaming experience. The position of the Clan admin is to oversee the clan as a whole, and resolve any problems that could not be resolved by other means. Command Staff – This is either an individual or collection of members who are tasked with running the clan presence within a specific game. Command staff will only exist within a game when required. Most modern games do not require the presence of a command staff and so will not have one. Members of the command staff will be, wherever possible, chosen from clan members that are active within that particular game. In the case of a problem or enquiry within a game the command staff should first be addressed and then the Clan Admin if required. For general clan issues the Clan admin should be addressed if other members are unable to help.

Forums are provided by Clan members. These forums are provided for the general use of the Clan, as well as other members. As such a certain degree of respect is required. Anyone found to abuse these forums would be subject to disciplinary measures suitable to the level of abuse. There are a number of forums provided for the use of the clan. These are divided into general rooms as well as game specific rooms. Most games will have public and private forums. Members are asked to post any clan specific information within that game to the private forums as these forums are hidden from non-members. Any general clan posts are to be made to the general clan forums. Members are to use their own interpretation of what constitutes this. Most things are acceptable for posting to the forums with the exception of Porn and Illegal goods. All members are asked to keep a tight control over their use of abusive language as there are many people who read these forums. As the forums and servers are provided privately by Clan members, Members are encouraged (but not required) to make a small donation towards the running costs. As the immortal words state “Bandwidth is hell”

The clan is, for the most part, a collection of friends who enjoy gaming and socialising together. As such conflict amongst members is not considered acceptable. All members are required to resolve issues amongst themselves at the earliest possible opportunity. If a member has any problem with an element of the Clan then they should address the Clan Admin. Where possible / suitable every effort will be made to resolve the problem. Any member interested in starting a [AFK]_clan presence in a new game should first consult the Clan Admin. In most cases permission will be granted, but [AFK]_clan reserves the right to deny membership. Clan members are encouraged to volunteer material for the clan site, but this is not a requirement to do so. All material put forward will be vetted for suitability, and included if found to be so.

We have a policy of helping each other out within our games. If you see a member struggling with some aspect of a game it is considered correct behaviour to help that member when possible. This way we all get to enjoy the gaming experience together. Help can be in various forms of which members can donate to an extent they would like. Help can be either support in understanding the game, playing alongside a new player, donating resources, or loaning in game equipment.

The term /Inactive Member/ , means that a player / players do not participate in the online gaming experience of the clan, and do not post / view / register on the [AFK]_ clan forums / website for a certain period of time. (Usually 1 month) However, just because a member is deemed inactive, this does not mean that they will be ejected / asked to leave the clan. The action taken in dealing with /Inactive Members/ is as follows:
i) 2 senior admin will decide who is inactive, and if a member is deemed inactive, they will have /Inactive/ next to their clan name.
ii) Inactive members will be excluded from wars, and shall only participate in wars if invited by a full clan member, and this request is approved by 2 senoir admin.
iii) Inactive Members keep their forum privilages, and once they feel they can dedicate the time and effort that the [AFK]_ clan deserve, they shall be invited to take part in training, and will regain their /Full Member/ status. (This needs to be approved by the senior admin's)
