CLAN: 305 BOYZ / AFK
TAG: [aFk]
AFK stands for Away From Keyboard.
The Clan originated from a few members out of a Fantasy Football League in South Florida, the "305 BOYZ". We also have a couple of Members form the Clan "Team AFK" in the PC version of BF2 (website: teamafk.org) The original core of members decided to combine the names to form the clan in R:FoM "305 BOYZ / AFK". Since then our membership has grown (We currently have 150+ confirmed members online and this number keeps growing everyday) in size and area, we have adopted the "AFK" as the Official Clan Tag as it is Not Area Specific. You might ask Why AFK? well some of us work all day behind a desk or are busy writing a paper for school. When the end of a long day at school/work comes, all we want to do is to get as FAR Away From a Keyboard as possible, hence AFK.
If you are Planning/Considering to Join AFK please be aware that we want individuals that want to be loyal to the clan (No clan Hoppers) as well as people that can communicate and work as a team. We insist that you party 1st with the clan to make sure that you will be "a Good Fit" and that we mutually satisfy each others needs. We want people to join, but don't want either party to rush into a commitment with each other. We also ask that you have a mic as communication is key when playing as a team
We have players from the U.S. in Florida, California, New York, Texas, Pennsylvania, Washington, Oklahoma, New Jersey, Indiana, Tennessee, Michigan, West Virginia, Connecticut, Georgia, Iowa, New Mexico, North Carolina and South Carolina (just off the top of my head), and a few from Mexico and Canada, but we are always looking to broaden our area.
With the Worldwide Server Updates We have also Expanded Globally and now have additional members from the U.K., Puerto Rico, France, and Saudi Arabia, bring us to a total of 7 countries. We are Currently looking to expand into Europe.
Most of our clan is between the ages of 18-35, but we have some as young as 14 and some as old as 47. We try to play online whenever possible (most of us are married, a couple with kids). Most of the older guys login during the evenings.
Don't get me wrong we are all very competitive and like to win but having fun accomplishing that goal is our #1 objective. Almost everyone in the clan has a headset or is looking to buy one. MICs ARE REQUIRED!!!
Our Clan will continue to expand across other Games and possibly other gaming Platforms in the Future. We are currently looking to form a strong base in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare for the PS3.
Our CLAN is open to anyone who wants to play online!
All you need is to want to play.Requirements/tryouts have been establish to ensure that AFK members meet the clan expectations and that we work as a team when playing together.
We believe Everyone has something to offer; all you need is a little time to develop your skills.
